Wildlife Trust
Kent
This proposal was designed to tread lightly—to sit quietly on the lake shore, ensconced in the surrounding woodland; to emerge slowly, gently through the trees; to sit in calm repose, reflected on the water; and to feel at once welcoming and assured in its position. Taking its cue from the long, low-slung agricultural vernacular buildings found across the Kent countryside, the Nature & Wellbeing Centre continues in a long tradition of simple, functional architecture.
